Went to the lake just to look it over and try to catch a few bass and locate perch. Started the day fishing shoreline cover with worms and senkos, no luck. Switched to drifting a chunk of nightcrawler on a drop rig and caught a lot of small punkinseeds and bluegills in deep water (up to 18 feet).

Decided to head to Spencer, but met eddieg1 on the way to the launch. He told us that he was using a drop shot catching bass in 18 feet of water. Switched to a Zoom June Bug Trick worm on a D/S rig, and almost immediately caught two bass. Finished with four bass up to 2.5 pounds in 15 to 18 feet of water.
