With all the rain, they are starting to stack up ... I also, had similar success up north, rather shallow, and aggressive fish. Best was 22" and several pushing 20" .... Fat, Fat, Fat !!! Using my standard Yellow Chartreuse Wedding Ring with a fat nightcrawler off the Down-rigger. (2.5 - 3.0 mph.)

Hey sickbayer, Thanks for the report. Where is the mouth of the Cedar river? I am new to the area and 20" anything sounds good to me since 14" are the norm in my lakes. Fish4food!

The mouth is to the west side of the boeing factory at the south end of the lake..FYI it watch your depth as it can climb up fast. I caught all my fish arond 70' of water. i also followed what looks like rip tides.
