I hit the lake with hopes of running into a cutthroat. Trolled the north end a bit then along 520, rapalas, not a hit as far as I could see. Before the sun went down I abandoned the downrigger and baited up my perch rig with worm pieces. I caught 10 in about 30 minutes near Evergreen Pt, E end of 520 bridge. Not a bad way to spend the last day of the summer.

Thanks for the Lake WA. report. Go back through the previoius lake WA. reports and try and match what was being used/done for the cutthroat. You will find success eventually.

Fished Lake Washington myself yesterday....not a strike. Fished a small UV squid baited with grubs behind a small flasher.
Did catch a 1 1/2 lb Smallmouth Bass with the downrigger set at 45 ft... what a surprise. Was a perfect day to spend on the water though.

I'm thinking perch pattern needle fish next time, maybe just a oooo dodger 5' in front of it, keep it simple, then scoop up some perch again! :)~

There used to be an "OLDE GUY" who first started me out on the Lake in the 80's, and he used nothing but spoons, and a Perch colored spoon was always rigged up on one of his rods. And me could he catch fish!! Little 10' aluminum boat and would troll like a Bat out of Hell !!! He caught fish tho ..

perch pattern is a favorite on the lake, old guy w/ leaded line showed me in 80s as well. bigger boat though.
