Went out to this lake today about nine oclock. Saw a lot of fish rising to some nats. Decided to put on a very small Mosquito fly and see what happens. With in five seconds of the fly hitting the water I had a nice nine inch fish on. Got about two or three more fish with this fly. Decided that I would try to get under the water so I put on a beaded head wooly bugger (green) and a smaller wolly bugger looking thing below that, still with floating line. I caught about ten fish on that setup, I was surprised I caught about the equal amount on both flies (top and bottom). This was my first time not dry fly fishing. I saw this method on tv and thought I would give a whirl and see how it did. I caught about 15 fish from 7" to 12" and only one of them was a hatchery fish. All very beautiful fish. I caught mostly Rainbows and I think two Cutts. Very fun lake, I would recommend this lake to anyone fly fishing. Great scenery and very nice people. I had a friend two yrs. ago that caught a very nice 26" bow with a hook nose, so I know there are some good fish in there also.
