Hoping for better action on this multi-species lake, we launched at about 1pm and headed to the south end. Fished pads, deep grass, pilings, the creek, rocks, docks and again it was a dink show! Water temps were the same mid-upper 60's the only differene was that the largemouth dinks were on the rampage here! Caught fish up to 1.5lbs virtually everywhere in depths from 8-25 feet.
Hopefully the fall bite will pick up soon! Can't wait, time to get back into pound it mode!
My co-worker was excited, even though the fish were small, he caught his first smallmouth, first largemouth and that cutthroat trout up on Whatcom! He got a good idea of what bass fishing is like, and was introduced to about 6 bassin' techniques...needless to say, he will definately be back, and that's awesome!
