My wife and I arrived at Lake Langlois at 7:00 a.m. We fished until 8:30. We were one trout shy from limiting out.
Most trout were smaller size, but one was a nice sized rainbow -- 2 lbs. 17 inches long by tape measure.
We were able to catch that larger fish using the following gear:
* 3 ounce banana shaped mooching sinker
***LARGE** Luhr Jensen pop-geer "cowbells" model, polished silver
*frog-colored flatfish* size f4
* trout crack (power bait) was put on the hooks to sweeten the presentation.
The line was out 70 pulls (140 ft) -- figure we were fishing in 60 feet of water.
That was our recipe for success.
Tight lines!
