Langlois water level is loooowww! So it took us some time to lift the boat over the logs at the launch. The bottom is very muddy, like quicksand, unless you stand on the many buried logs and sticks. It didn't help that my two nephews were in the boat while my son & I in waders manhandled it over the logs. Anyway, cool morning with lots of of dimples on the lake, even though we didn't get on the water until about 9:45. One other fisherman had caught a couple of trout and left. Another father son team arrived and lifted their canoe over the logs. We trolled, they still fished with power bait on the north east corner in about 15 feet of water. We caught two 12-13" trout, they limited with 10 fish about 12-15". We also showed the boys how to sight fish for the small smallmouth that hide in the brush and fallen timber. We caught a few on nightcrawlers. Had a great time even though we never hooled one trolling. Fishing should still be good until it closes, just bring a boat you can lift and wear waders.
