I got to the deep area straight out from the new launch @ 9am. Lost a fish at the boat. Then started trolling around north of the island. I was double stacked on the down rigger at 35 and 21 in 90-100 foot of water. On the low rig I had a flasher with a UV pink splatter back squid. The upper rig had a Sepp's watermelon UV dodger with a UV green stack bead lure (similar to a wedding ring.). I got the most action on the watermelon rig.. Later I changed the green lure and put it on the bottom then put a blue green UV squiddy thang on the watermelon rig and got my last fish. I trolled around a worm to get perch in the 20-30 foot deep area close to the launch. I left about 1pm.
I highly recommend UV.
Met Kokanee_slayer and Kokanee Kid on the water. They all out fished me again. Kokanee_slayer got a 18 inch kokanee. That is a picture of him.

How did you do on perch?

I didn't do well on perch (1) but others did. I kept trying for my limit of kokanee so my time was taken with that until I couldn't take the waves (fast boats and wind) any more. Had lots of bites trolling for them. The rock bass like wedding ring and worms too.

They may have out fished you but, you were out there. That is where it all starts. Thanks for the report & picture.

Toni,
As most of us know, it's more about the challenge and experience as opposed to how many fish you catch. Although I've done pretty good this year that's not always been the case. I can't begin to count the number of times I've gotten skunked.

Nice report, Melanie and I have only fished there twice, haven't limited but it's really a nice Kokanee lake.
good report, very descriptive, packed with info. Thanks, Bob R.
