We went out to Munn lake around 6pm and started fishing. After a while we looked and saw that there is a big sign that says "No Bait". I was confused if "Powerbait" counts so I changed my methods to using a white roster tail. After maybe 5 or 6 casts towards the lillypads i hooked up with the smallest bass ive ever caught. thing was about 4 inches long and the hook on the roster tail was bigger than the mouth of the largemouth. After about 20 some more casts i caught a nice sized Bluegill and was getting alittle excited that Ill catch more. Right then a dog from the area ran down the hill and exploded into the water. The dog wouldnt leave my wife and I alone, actualy throwing sticks at us to thow for it. so,,,, after about a half an hour of fetch with some random dog i got it to leave. Also the whole time there was a group of kids in their car in the lot just being loud.

Munn lake is really pretty and Im sure there are some monster bass but i wouldnt recomend fishing there unless you have a boat,.

Munn does have some nice size largemouth in it .I have caught and released quite a few in the 5 and 6 pound range out of this lake. Remember this lake has a few restrictions from no motors to single barb-less hooks. If i am not wrong i think years back the Western Bass Association transplanted from nearby lakes fish from some type of kill saves. Some body have any info on this lake and the club that planted? javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$lbSubmit','')

There is legend in my family that says that back in the late 50's and early 60's my grandfather, a resident of Centralia, fished Munn, Susan, Trails End, and another nearby pond that is now just a bog back. He fished for bass when that was very rare. The story goes that the state killed Munn at some time back then and when he showed up afterward and found no fish there, he went and fished in several of the other lakes around and transplanted his catch into Munn.

Not sure if he is truly responsible for the bass that now reside there but I am proud to tell the story nonetheless.

I began fishing Munn back around 1984 and have caught several fish in the 4-7# range too. In the last 15 or so years, the lake has been overrun with milfoil and the fishing has become less pleasurable if not less successful.
