Decided to hit the lake at the last minute this morning, stopped at the little market just before the city park to grab some worms. Got to the launch at 8:15am it was raining and the water was around 65 degrees. Got the downrigger set up and opened the worm cup..... DEAD! Not a single live one, probably dead for more than a week. So I put some green powerbait on the end of a pop gear/ green wedding ring set up and set the downrigger at 27 feet. Trolled around the VA and boat launch at around 1.3 mph till noon without a single bite. Even tried some of the dead worms with no luck. (no suprise there) Saw a few jumping but the fishfinder was blank all day. Good luck out there guys!
