Took a boat ride with two friends in search of deer, archery style. After an early morning hunt, put on the crankbaits and went after the Smallies. We ended up catching a dozen or so but nothing big. Except for one about a pound or so, they were mostly dinks, but still fun.

Caught a 14" rainbow on a crankbait at the mouth of Landers Creek.

Now, to save the literal people their trouble, because in fact, when people mention that there are no Kokanee in Riffe Lake yet when somebody writes Kokanee on their report, 100% of everyone on here knows what they are talking about........landlocked sockeye this and silver that. Whatever, a landlocked salmon is a Kokanee to most, and I will call them Kokanee whether right or wrong:)

So, fish for Kokes, a bit (OK, landlocked Silver Salmon, pffft!) Got 7 or 8 of them, good sized, 15" to 17" and we only fished for them for less than an hour.

So, good day, no deer but a plethora of fish and the rain held off.
