Made my first trip to Harts lake in attempt to get my first cat in Wa State. Idk how you "native" washington guys catch catfish but in Arizona we would use hotdogs,chicken liver, shad,bluegill,crappie,irish spring bar soap,bread balls,cheese, and much much more.. So I got out there at about 10:00 a.m tried everything i had for bait, all of the above,worms not a nibble. Tried for crappie and didnt catch anything except for a large perch that wqas safely released. Did see a rather large fish chasing smaller fish out toward the mid of the lake.Also saw a dead yellow belly catfish that flated ashore. That was it noone else that we could see was having any luck stayed till about 2 then called it quits.Until next time...
