Fished Merwin saturday. Caught this absolute TOAD..heaviest musky ever in my 30+ years of Musky hunting. Water temp was right around 70. Didnt see as many fish as in the past. Caught this beast in about 20 ft of water off a big ol' log. Throwing my buddy's hand made "half-dead" tube bait.About a 12" tube.. Right now its big fish time. So in other words big bait=big fish. She measured out at 45 x 20. 30 lb fish easy.. 20' girth all the way down the length of the fish.Looked a heck of alot bigger than that.
And no I'm not holding that fish out a foot in front of me..l I think his tape measure went only to 45 inches..good fishing though..lost another 40" fish at the boat..too much slack line and just couldnt catch up in time to lay the hook set into that one..then did a quik release of a under 30" fish..so get out there and fish. Fall is big fish time..see ya on the water..
