My buddy Bob and I hit the lake at 5:00 am from a client's dock using kayaks. We paddled to within a hundred yards of the launch ramp and started soaking crawlers. I immediately got hit by a 9 inch perch followed by another and then 2 more. We decided to move west and while trolling, I picked up a 13-inch rainbow.Once to the West shore my luck ran out, and I decided to go to work, which was probably a bad move because Bob,fishing near some docks, picked up a couple of reportedly (really nice big bluegill) and a sizable smallie. All in all not a bad start to our work day. The skies were clear with an air temperature of 62. I'm guessing water temp. at around 70.
