I headed out to Log Boom Park again today for about an hour and a half.
I fished from about 6 to 7:30 ish.

Just another day out on Log Boom except this time I was making a video for the owner of penfishingrods.com who semi sponsors me.

Anyways, I caught 16+ Dink Largemouth today, and lost count after that.

But the highlight of the day came at the end when I caught a 1 lb 13 oz Largemouth!
I know it's not a huge fish but it was big and put up a good fight considering I was using probably the most ultra light rod money can buy.
I didn't want to risk it shaking violently and snapping my 3 lb line while lifting it up the dock and over the guard rail so I walked it around to where the guard rail ends and lifted it up.

Funny how this fish looks MUCH bigger than the 1 lb 15 oz Largie I caught the other day and posted pics of in my report. but is actually 2 oz lighter.

As far as my set up, I was using 6 lb line with a 1/0 hook.
I fished Finesse Lizards and Roboworms again.

The best fish of the day was caught on the Roboworm - Wacky Rigged.

But unlike ALL of my previous trips to Log Boom, this trip was different.
I actually met some really nice, cool people and had some good conversation with them.
Some people actually complimented me on my fish today instead of the usual glares of hatred and snotty remarks.

It was a Good Day :D

Video is uploading to youtube, I don't feel like spamming my videos in my reports so pm me if you want the link :D

Hi,
I 've been fishing Log Boom park the last few days around 7-8am...I'll I can catch are the dinky bass and perch on a golden rapala. What part of the dock are you catching the bigger fish? I went and got some green 4 1/2 " roboworms and I've got them drop shot wacky rigged but I keep having the little ones nibble is all...any advice would be great! How can I find you on You tube?

nice fish! I know if you catching 4-7" Bass all day anything over 10" feels huge on light line and pole. I use 5.5 ft rod and 6lb test makes those larger fish feel huge. Where is the Log Boom Park? Just curious looks like dock fishing is that correct? Looking for place to take my 8 year old daughter.

@ Jay K - I'm glad that you know what they are :) @ Jamesb Log Boom Park is located in Kenmore. you can type it into google maps and it'll take you straight to it. and yes it is dock fishing.

That's a great fish - i out there on saturday around 3, trying the semi submerged logs near the entrance of the dock and that little cove, we only caught baby yellow perch on crawlers since i couldn't get anybites on a senko or rooster tail. Swimmers took over the end part of the dock. Nice job! you definitely have the touch, do you offer coaching sessions?

@pika206 - thanks :) i'm not sure if i would go as far as saying that i would offer coaching sessions but if times works out and we happen to be able to head out there at the same time, i wouldn't mind sharing a few of my techniques that i use :)
