I went fishing yesterday all day fishing the Moses Lake I-90 bridge, spillways in between Potholes and Moses Lake, and the Potholes Mardon dock. In the morning I started out fishing the I-90 bridge. While on the bridge I used crappie jigs and Berkley Gulp Minnows seeing if there were any crappie there to catch. Didn't catch any crappie while fishing the bridge but caught a 12" walleye and 2 smallmouth bass. After fishing there for about a hour and a half I decided to try fishing the spillways for the first time. I started fishing the first spillway about 9:30 AM and I was able to catch a few largemouth bass in between 8-10" but wasn't really what I was looking for so went down to the second spillway after trying to see if there was a trail to kind of walk into the dunes area for a little. Also I was able to catch a stupid seagull that decided to fly by while I was casting and got him in to try and take the jig out of the wing but broke off once I was trying to take it out and off the bird went. Went down to the second spillway and they didn't have any water flowing through there and there was a man and his wife fishing there and he had said he hadn't caught anything so I tried walking down the area since I remember reading from Slabking that there are areas to where you can walk around the dunes area to fish. I found a beaver hut and tried fishing it with no avail and moved on down more and found another and didn't get a bite so I decided to grab something to eat around noon at Potholes and fish the dock at Mardon. Didn't get anything down there after a hour of fishing so went back up to the first spillway. I fished there until sundown and ended up finally finding where the crappie were holding in the area. Caught about 30 crappie, 15 largemouth, 3 more 12" walleye, a bullhead catfish, and a few sunfish the second time I went down to the spillway. Only caught 2 keeper crappie at 11" and 9" so ended up giving those away to a man and his kid that were fishing next to me.
