This was more of a trip to get the boat de-salanized after fishing the Sound on Friday. Of course once I was on the water I naturally spent a couple of hours fishing and found that the perch seemed to be less effected by the Seafair weekend than the cutts and kokes were. I tried trolling for some kokes and cutts along the I-90 bridge and did not see many fish on the finder. During the hour I trolled I has no takers so I packed it up and headed for the weedlines in search of some perch. As is the case this time of year, the perch were plentiful on the fringe of the weedline and gladly took my dropshotted 2" grub. Sizes ranged from 6" to 11" and I kept just a few smaller fish for bait. I'm hoping that the cutts and kokes get back to normal by next weekend when the weather is supposed to cool down.
