Today was an incredible day for fishing.
But it was my worst day in years.

My 6 day old HTC EVO slipped out when I was putting it into my back pocket, landed face flat on concrete and the screen shattered. FML.

My report will be brief since I'm too upset to write my usual detailed report.

I caught 23 largemouth bass and 30+ bluegills / sunfish.

The two biggest largemouth weighed in at 1lb 12oz and 1lb 15oz. The smallest largie was 7 inches.

I was using finesse lizards and roboworms for the largemouth and worms for the bluegills.

Everyone there was hating on me and talking crap because they weren't catching anything. 5 kids kept asking me a million questions and annoyed me sooo much that I had to ask them to stop taking to me. People called me a liar when I told them I was using worms for panfish. They kept saying "Were using worms and not catching anything. Youre hiding something from us you jerk" I had to tell someone that fishing isn't for everyone and it requires skill and knowledge and technique. That simply putting bait in the water doesnt make you a fisherman. I wouldn't have said this but she was extremely rude and asked for it.

Anyways I'll end it here.

Sorry to hear about your loss out the Elijah, but I don't have any idea what a HTC EVO FML is?

Sorry to hear of your mishap, Elijah. I do have to say that you've obviously nailed the technique. Kudos! I've been throwing weightless, wacky senkos at the same location every few days lately, with limited success. I consider myself a seasoned fisherman, but I clearly have a lot to learn. Thanks for the inspiration!

@ Dreamer0131 - I was fishing at Log Boom Park again. @ The Quadfather - HTC EVO is the new 4G Sprint Phone aka best on the market. and FML means F*** My Life. @Guitarfisher - Try the 6 inch roboworms! They are much skinnier then the senko and when you twitch them wacky rigged they have a TON of action that drives the largies wild!! @ Greenbul - Thanks man, the fishing was awesome but I almost wish I didn't go so that my phone would still be in tact..

@ nickbell - dude.. the kids especially were driving me crazy today. one kid practically dry humped my leg trying to grab my big largie as i was taking the hook out. i told his mom to control her kid and get him off of me or i will throw him off.

@guitarfisher: Therein lies the quandary! I use Senkos 3x more than Robos but ultimately catch much bigger fish on them. (anything over 4 lbs mind you) So BIGGER fight or MORE to toss back? Haha, good problem to have...go get em, fish aren't smarter than US!

@ kuyamonster - I have caught my personal best largemouth which was only 3 1/2 lbs or so on a 5" senko, but with that being said, it won't always catch bigger fish and there is nothing that says or proves that a roboworm will only attract smaller fish.

Did you record a video to post on youtube? If you did i will be looking forward to seeing it. I subscribed to your videos. Nice job on the fish by the way!

I stopped at my local tackle shop this afternoon, so next time out for bass I'll go equipped with both senkos and roboworms!

LOL Elijah I've had better fishing NIGHTMARES than what you described with those kids! Sheesh! Oh well, way to go on your fishing success! Any size to the bluegills? Man I'm looking high and low to find a good "bull bluegill" hole!

@guitarfisher - best of luck to you my friend :) @ flyfisherguy - the best place i know for good bluegills or "bullgills" is swofford pond but that's quite the drive, if you check out my report you'll see some decent sized bluegills. I caught two that were 9 1/2 inches long and many in the 8 inch range.

BTW guys, heard there's decent crappie fishing here but what lakes? Fished Sawyer 3x off and on by the drop off next to small island and that's the only place I've caught them with decent size. Recommendations? WAY good eats!
