Met a friend at Buck around 6pm, a slight breeze rippled the water making it tough to see any rises. I started with my fly rod and while moving across the middle of the lake with my line out, trolling by accident if you will, snagged a small, eight or nine inch bass! A wooly bugger was the fly.
After seeing no action on the surface, I switched to my spinning gear and started tossing a spinnerbait into the pads and worked my way around the south end and then finally up into the north end and caught a nice 12 - 13" bass near the dock. Not at the dock but out a ways near the lilly pads.
As it started getting darker we were hoping that the trout would get more active but there were very few rises which were easier to see since the water was glass smooth. No luck with the wooly bugger on the fly rod, put down power bait with spinning gear and ended the evening with a 13 - 14" rainbow.
