Me and the girlfriend took the pond prowler to Benson Lake today. This was only the second time fishing this lake from a boat. We arrived to the lake about 1430 and started fishing in a counter clockwise direction. We had several small bass chasing our lures.We finally started catching them on people's docks. I caught a 13" bass on a black 4" Yamamoto kut tail worm. My girlfriend was having a tough time the first couple hours. She had alot of bites and a few fish came off at the boat. She soon started out fishing me the last couple hours. I rigged her with a black 3" senko and she started catching them left and right. It seems that anything in black was working on the fish. We both wound up catching and releasing alot of small bass. There's a great population of small bass in this lake. I hope over the next couple years they grow up to be a couple pounds.
