My brother and I got out on the lake a little late this time, but it didn't seem to make a difference at all. We trolled everything from flatfish to flies and pop gear with Team Eagle secret combos. Everything was working, we couldn't keep'em off. Caught and released some average size stockers and a couple of mini eight inchers. Confident we could do no wrong as usual, we settled down in "The Hole" for a bite to eat. As soon as our egg weights hit the bottom we were getting hits. After catching and releasing a couple of fish each in the span of a minute, we had to keep the lines in the boat to finish eating in peace. A few minutes later Team Eagle resumed in full effect with five foot Ugly Stiks in hand. In the period of two hours we caught, weighed, and kept four nice Tripliods. The biggest weighing in at 1.5 lbs and 16 & 1/4 inches long. It was non stop action. I also lost a Triploid at the boat do to line abrasion from the hemostats or a poorly tied knot, not really sure. Anyhow, it was an excellent day of fishing and fun with my brother. It does'nt get much better than this.........P.S. Pay close attention to what the guys with five foot Ugly Stiks are using, it's easy to spot us, we're always way too happy!
