Never actually got a line in the water. Went to the Lk Cassidy Resort to take my 6-year old crappie fishing off their dock, and noticed it was posted as "CLOSED" with a "No Tresspassing" sign as well. Anyone have any idea what's up? There are not many places to take kids fishing from shore in N. Snohomish county as it is, and it would be tough if the resort has closed their dock permanently. I tried to rent one of their boats one evening last year, and they weren't really interested in doing that either.
Anyone have any suggestions for taking kids fishing up in the N. end from shore, where they have a decent chance of getting some bites?? Gissberg Ponds is pretty dead once the planters are gone, and the access in the other lakes I've looked at is minimal. Would certainly appreciate any suggestions.

Jennings Pond in Marysville is a great little spot to take your kids.

You could also try lake gardner in Granite Falls. Theres a nice park there off of crooked mile rd and a nice floating dock. Also the north lake at gissberg is youth only and I heard they have stocked some decent size triploids.

Flowing Lake (3 Lakes area near Snohomish) has a State Park with a nice dock. Cost's 5 bucks a day.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried Lk. Garner, didn't much going on from the dock. We actualy go the the kids only lake at Gissberg, but unfortunately the adults pull most of the trout out of that lake as fast as they got planted. Need some more enforcement up there. Flowing Lake sounds like an option, might need to check it out this weekend.

Try Silver Lake in Everett for perch. I went there as a teen a few years ago and had fun.

Theres a dock on lake casidy across form the boat launch off the centenail trail that is free to public. Lk rosiger has a nice park its just north of flowing. If you hit flowing try worm and marshmellow.
