Monday was super windy... I didn't even try to go out... hardly any boats on the lake.

Tuesday started out pretty calm. Leaving Wapato Pt, I headed past Anton fishing on the Bar and started trying for kokanee off Rocky Point into Mill Bay. Same setups as Sunday, but I swapped out the orange wedding ring for a purple Vance's bug for a while and a red-yellow wedding ring for a while. Marked a few fish in Mill Bay but noothing really going on, and the wind picked up a bit and made it hard to troll.

I headed uplake to try and get out of the wind. Went past the Narrows to try my previous spot or even closer to 25 Mile Creek, but the wind and waves up there made me think I was having a bad day on Puget Sound, though it was calmer below the Narrows. Fished from the State Park uplake on that side. Marked a few there. Moved to below Watsons and actually started catching kokanee pretty good, but still the little ones. Also tried the bay across onthe East side of the lake as well. Probably had 8 kokanee to the boat, but let 'em go to grow up.

Didn't try for Mack's on Tuesday... By about 10:30, it was really blowing everywhere. At one point I was drifting 1.8 mph with the motors off! Hope to get one more morning in before we leave Friday...

Be careful on the lake. I think the winds kicked up some debris. I heard a distress call from a guy who hit a log or something way up lake and needed a tow. The Lady of the Lake said there were 3-4 foot waves up towards him, so that was out of the question for me. They dispatched the sheriff's boat to rescue the guy.

Hello TomD, thanks for taking the time to post your experiences on the Lake. The Kokes have been a disappointment this year, but maybe next year there will be some size to them. Fishing with the wind sure can be a challenge, but sounds like yo made an enjoyable outing out of it. Stay safe and well.
