Our family took our annual fishing trip to Banks Lake this year! We normally fly to Minnesota and fish for walleye, but this year we decided to give eastern Washington walleye a shot.

We tried many different things, but Lindy rigs with crawler harnesses, fished right off the bottom, caught all our walleye. Firetiger colored spinners seemed to produce the most fish.
We caught 2 walleye in Barkers Flats and the other 4 at the sunken Island near steamboat rock.

My dad caught the biggest walleye @ 20" and the biggest fish of the trip, an 8lb carp.
We caught a total of 6 walleye, 2 carp and 4 perch while trolling.

We also caught a few largemouth bass on texas rigs on the south end of Devils Punch Bowl.

What parts of Minnesota you visit?? I am headed to Int'l Falls in a few days, hope to get some good fishing in on my beloved Rainy Lake. Good job on Banks, I am scheduled to visit it soon after I return. Klahowya!
