I went to Log Boom Park again today!
But this time I took my buddy LMBDave with me so he could get in on the Bluegill action!
Dave not only caught his first Bluegill today but he also caught the biggest one today!
You know it's a good sized Bluegill when you can lip it!
Some may not agree with me but when you can lip a Bluegill, I automatically give that fish BullGill status!
Both of us were just SLAMMING the Bluegills!
Between the two of us we easily caught close to 30.

We were just using worms like usual, nothing fancy.
But we were using a method I like to use that I haven't really seen other people use.
It's one of my favorite techniques I employ that works great!
Sorry but fisherman's secret!

But for the second part of the day I used a bobber to keep my bait in places where I wanted it to stay.

Both methods produced a ton of fish!
It's funny how I primarily caught Pumpkinseed Sunfish and not any Bluegills but it was the opposite today!

Oh yeah, Dave also caught two Largemouth Bass, a Perch, and a Sculpin today!

It was definitely another multispecies day as it always is at Log Boom!

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT!!!
I MADE A DISCOVERY TODAY!!!
I CAUGHT A FISH I DID NOT KNOW EXISTED IN WASHINGTON!!!

I CAUGHT A GREEN SUNFISH!!!

I was in total shock and surprise when I caught it!
I was super stoked and it TOTALLY made my day!

It wasn't a big one but it was definitely a pregnant female that was spawning.
When I lifted her out of the water her belly was so stuffed it was about to pop.
In fact as I was removing the hook and few eggs popped out.
I took some pictures and a short video and let her go on the way!!

Oh, and of course, everything today was caught and released unharmed!

Where is this Log Boom Park? Its not listed under any lakes in Washington. Help a fellow fisherman out tell us where it is.
