Took my dad night fishing at Loon Lake in attempt to get our limit of 40 fish, 20 before midnight and 20 after midnight. However, the fish were not fully cooperative and we had to work hard to put 30 kokanee and 2 trout in the bucket. We fished from about 9 pm to 3:30 am and had the most success from around 10 pm to 1 am with sporadic hot action followed by long lulls of no bite. The boat was anchored in my magic number of 32 feet:) Next time I'll post a picture of the schools of kokanee on the sonar because they were so thick on the bottom when the bite was on. The best kokanee of the night was 16.5 inches. Can't wait to catch one 17 to 18 inches, which seems very possible at Loon Lake this year.

We were fishing near Granite Point Resort......and most of the boats we saw out on Saturday night were fishing there as well.
