I took my wife and kids on a short canoe trip on Rock Lake today (Saturday May 2nd). This was my second trip to Rock Lake, the first being the week before. I brought along my fishing tackle just in case and a couple of dozen night crawlers. We made it to the lake about noon. We headed down the east side of the lake along the shore line and I spent most of the time tossing a full night crawlers with no sinker against the rocks. After several hours I had 3 browns on my stringer (13 - 14 inches) and had released 2 browns (1 - 16 inch, 1 15inch) and one rainbow (17inch). These 3 large fish were the best trout I'd caught in Washington and couldn't bring myself to take them. We will definately be headed back to Rock Lake!
