Family and friends annual camping trip to Steamboat Rock. Banks lake did not disappoint.

2 days of fishing
10 walleye (the bite was certainly off, as we caught a dozen other shakers)
about 30 bass, including largemouth and smallmouth
a few perch

water temps 64-67
weather warm, lo 80's, light breezes mostly in the morning and late afternoon

Was able to take 5 people fishing for their first time, and they had a ball catching largemouth and smallmouth. We were able to wade fish for the largemouth, which the kids and newbies loved because they could land the fish right at their feet, and keep cool in the water. Smallies were up shallow and, as always, crushing a Yamamoto 176 grub.

Our camping crowd used to like a fried fillet or two, but in the last year they have really wanted a fish fry. So we caught enough fish to have a good sized fry, and I introduced everyone to fish tacos. Now, everybody wants to fish, and everybody wants a Fry Daddy! Good times. Already looking forward to June 2011.
