Looks like the walleye bite in Moses Lake has dropped off dramatically from just a few weeks ago.
Fished all day Saturday, mainly with a worm harness, with no luck. At the end of the day, ran into a Sheriff checking life jackets. He reported that no one was catching walleyes.
On Sunday I participated in the Columbia Basin Walleye Club annual tournament. There were 25 entrants and only two anglers caught fish. The largest was under four pounds.
All the locals I talked to reported that the fishing was still good in Potholes Reservoir and that several of them had caught limits in the past week. Next trip over, I'll go there.
