In between the rain, wind and sun I caught and released over 200 fish spin fishing with a spinner and fly fishing with black wooly bugger. I wanted to try out my new pontoon boat and this sure gave it a workout. Tuesday evening the lake was very windy and rough, but I wanted to get out in my new toy, so off I went. I couldn't keep my line in the water without a fish on. Hottest fishing I've had in years. Fish were all between 12-15 inches and many went nuts when hooked. I and the ospreys were the only ones fishing the lake that I could see. Wed. the lake was like glass almost all day, so each time I went out it was a pleasure to enjoy this lake and not fight the wind. I took my fly rod out and caught and released dozens of fish. Thursday and Friday the lake was so windy I didn't even bother to go out. This is such a beautiful lake, too bad the wind blows almost all the time. They are helicopter logging the ridge above the N side of the lake, so that gets a bit annoying to listen to all day, but interesting to watch. Over the holiday weekend I saw many people catching fish, so this lake is loaded.
