Catcha Batcha Bream! (title stole from an April 2003 Outdoor Life article that provided paintings for identifying the different species of sunfish.)
This lake seemed to have every species of sunfish known to man. We just fished from shore with a tiny whiteish jig tipped with worm from a bobber and couldn't miss! For their size they gotta be the feistiest buggers on the face of the earth. This is the first year that I fished the lake after the water warmed up, April and May is too early, and I will be back! Shore access is limited so I would suggest a car topper boat or inflatable. Great lake for fast action! Lots of weeds though. Night time fishing produced foot long brown bullhead catfish.
Semper Fisherman.
