Hey All,
This is my first posting. I ranked my trip to Shadow lake so high for a couple factors. The first is I showed up to just check out the lake and wasn't even planning to get my line wet but anyone who is like me just can't resist a cast or two at a new fishing spot. I tried a couple Bass tatics and found that just the old texas rig did the job here. 3 casts and hooked and landed a 1.5lb. LMB, fisty little bugger hit HARD and fought HARD! I thought Ihad more fish than what I actually pulled out of the water. On the boat ramp I got several good strikes missed most of them because I wasn't expecting much action at a busy bot launch area. Second the water is dark it holds heqat better and heats up faster (good news for us bass fishers) Thirdly I say lots of habitat for Bass and alot of action just in the little canal! can't wait to get the boat out there!
P.S. I'll be posting lots of pic's as soon as i find the damn cord for the camera including a pic of the little bugger i caught today.
keep you lines tight and the fish in your sights.
