Write this one down boys...Rippin' Minnow by Owner Cultiva; Olive top, white belly.
I had the best day fishing for trout ever! This lure is a killer. My buddy Bill picked it up in Spokane two weeks ago and gave it a try on the 5th. He and another bud killed the browns so we decided to try again on the 12th.
It didn't matter if we cast or trolled, we caught 11-15" browns by the armload. I caught a fish on 2 consectutive casts three times, once I caught 3 nice fish on 3 casts. All were sent back to the lake except for 2 nice dinner size Browns.
This lure has ball bearings inside to get the sound and action that the fishies like but they can get funky and don't retrieve correctly at times. It didn't matter, the fish would hit it anyway.
Can't remember having a day like that on Diamond in many years. The lake was calm, no wind. 75 degrees, bright sun but a lot of pollen in the water. There were yellow plumes everywhere.
We fished the highway side of the lake, very shallow; between Eagle Point and Elu Beach. You could see the fish in 8-10 feet of water.
