Went to Magaret today with a friend. Before I could get my Poles in the water my friend had all ready caught and released 2 8 to 10 inch rainbow trout. The fishing was nonstop action of mostly tiny fish . I caught a couple of baby cut throats that were really small. We changed our hook sizes to the biggest we had to try to keep the little ones from taking the hook but it didn't stop them. We moved over to the side of the road and the fish got a little bigger. I had one big hit that I almost fell into the water trying to get to my pole had my meduim action rod bent in half unfortunatley he spit it out. So that was the one that got away. Right now I think this lake would be a excelent place for people to take there kids gaurenteed to be a fun time for the little ones. All fish that were caught today were released.

Catch and release over your limit with bait is illegal..."Fishing was nonstop" sure sounds like you went over the limit. I like that you increased hook size, but the game warden would not care.

ill call the game warden on that tomorrow. if you dont keep any fish i dont see that being illegal, now if he had 5 on a stringer and kept going i could see that but i will call game warden to confirm that tomorrow

flogguy... Fish mortality is very high when using bait in combination with catch and release. But, I am sure you aren't too educated on the science. I guess in your world, if you aren't caught, any law broken is ok.

I think the game wardens will be lurking in the brush in Margaret Lake now after reading these comments of those who would think it OK to not abide by the regulations! Follow the rules and you won't have any trouble and won't kill fish needlessly. This goes for all the lakes in WA. LS
