Well I sure appreciate brothers-in-law Harlan Mayer of East Wenatchee and Dave Deardorff of Yale, Iowa coming out with me. We had a magical first run on the Bar with 4 nice quality fish in the first 30 minutes. Then, just as fast it shut off. So we picked up and made the short move to Sunnybank to whack away at 'em. We got some small fish, but also produced the big fish of the day, a 10 pounder off the point at Sunnybank on a little F7 purple glow flatfish. There was a stiff breeze at the beginning, but most of the morning was perfect. Very little wind, temperatures in the high 60's and low 70's with a few white puffy clouds. Just another day in paradise...
On the Bar, look for water in the 120's and 130's. Fish T4 Flatfish at speeds of 1.4 to 1.6mph within 10 feet of the bottom. At Sunnybank size down to F7's and slow down to 1.2mph. It is real common to get 12 to 20 inch fish in here, but there are some nice ones there to.
