This was the first time fishing at this. I arrived at the about 0845. I threw my line out as I was taking my gear out of my truck. After about 4 minutes I had a fish on and I still didn't have all my stuff out of my truck. I reeled it in and it was a nice 12" trout. I put all my stuff in the boat and launched it. I didn't know where to go so I started trolling my favorite J7 Rapala with no bites. I threw the anchor down near the swimming area and caught 2 fish. I wasn't getting any more bites so I switched to LMB fishing. I started fishing the lilly pads near the swimming area and didn't have any bites. I kept moving around the lake and finally caught a small bass. It started pouring rain but I kept fishing and I'm glad I did. I threw my 3" black senko in the lillys near a tree and BAM! I thought I hooked a log but it was fighting back. I started reeling it in and when it surfaced I was like WOW! It was a 5lb LMB. I started looking for my net but couldn't get to it so I reeled it close to the boat and put a death grip on it so it wouldn't fall back in the water. I thought this would be a perfect way to end my day at the lake. I got back to the boat lauch and decided to throw my line out one more time as I was loading my gear into my truck. After 6 minutes I had another fish on my line. This was one of my best days of the season so far!!!

I released all the fish I caught so they can get bigger. Even the hawg I caught. I was using red power eggs to catch all the trout and a black 3"senko to catch the bass.
