Me and my buddy took his kayaks out and paddled out to the private owned docks where people own houses. my buddy caught the first one, then i casted out and caught one. We caught our limit in about 3 hours using orange powerbait marhsmallows. i caught a 15" rainbow for the biggest of the day.

One question though, I dont own a boat but someone said we can just go fish off the dock at the military resort. Does anyone know if that is true? I do have an old military ID from when my dad was in the Air force but it is expired.

Sorry dude, the dock at the military resort is not for general public use, "Military ID card holders only" as the sign at the entrance says. I retired from the Air Force back in 95' and fished that dock for years until we could afford a boat of our own, and it is a very nice dock! When we do fish Clear we anchor our boat about 50 yards west of the dock and cast in. There is a honey hole there and we've limited out pretty quick too and will catch an occasional 2-3lb rainbow or brown.
