Sunday evening and the rain had let up, so I threw my little 9 foot fish slayer in the back of the truck and off to lake Samish. Hit the water about 5:30 and start long-lining a sling blade and orange/green wedding ring with a 3/4 oz. weight to get it down 5 - 10 feet. First fish in the boat less than 100 feet from the boat ramp. Steady bites for the next hour and 5th fish in the boat by 6:45. A great, though brief evening on the lake.
There was one other boat out and they were doing pretty well also.
They were all 9 to 10 inches.
