We got to the launch at kosmos about 6:30 am, put the boat the water and headed out for about a 2 mile run, we slowed down and started watching the fishfinder untill i found the school of silvers..Put the first downrigger down with a 5.5 in flasher and a small green hoochie with a uv blade, the 2nd downrigger we put down with a small flasher with a pink hoochie and a silver blade, 3 rd rod we put out with a 1 1/2 oz banana weight with a 3 foot leader and a green wedding ring..We didnt troll for 5 mins and both downriggers went off, then the flat line went off and ended up being a nice 19 in bow C&R we continued trolling for about 3 hours and caught 47 silvers and 3 more bows, we ended up keeping our 15 silvers and C& R all the bows, great day on the water...Tight lines and happy fishing to all!!

There are no Kokanee in Riffe Lake....They are land locked silvers, not sockeye. Kokanee is a land locked sockeye. The silvers at rifffe lake are fun to catch and good eats....:-)

Kokanee salmon,
Oncorhynchus nerka...
Kokanee are the land-locked form of sockeye salmon. Because they never migrate out to the ocean to feed, kokanee are often much smaller than sockeye.
The silvers in Riffe lake are land lock coho....not sockeye....not Kokanee.

Thanks for the report T-Bone. The hoochies are great on this lake. I hate putting dodgers on a light pole. Is Kosmos at the East end of the lake more towards Morton?

Steelhead6438 u take a left out of morton and head towards randal then take a right on kosmos road is about 3 or 4 miles out of morton, much closer of a run where i am fishing, also they are catching them left and right off of the fishing bridge on that end, thats is where i will be saturday so i dont have to drag the boat again LOL.
. OL GREY DOG none of the fish we kept had any worms or sores, they tasted wonderfull on the BBQ saturday night. i also smoked some from the weekend before and they are very tasty...
