First time out on Liberty in several weeks and spent a couple hours trying various areas that I haven't fished before. Pretty much cold and raining but no wind so got to enjoy the peace and quiet with only about 2 other boats on the water. This summer's weather has just been very unpredictable so didn't expect too much but still nice to be on the water.
Found a couple bass which appeared to be defending beds as they were patrolling a couple spots and patterning over and over again. Didn't get to see the actual beds though, with the overcast skies and rain making it difficult.
After a couple hours, decided to hit areas I knew could be productive and within a couple casts picked up the one in the photo. Definitely a good feeling when that rod bends and you get to feel that little "bump-bump".
Fished for a few more minutes and decided to head in. The pumpkinseeds were keeping me company throughout the day whenever I threw a senko and got to see a pretty nice trout as well.
Water temps were around 58.5F.
