Fished this afternoon and evening. Caught one on a 7" power lizard no weight and weedless, skipping it from pad to pad. Caught the other on 7" powerworm in blue fleck. Overall, pretty darn slow. Spent some time with the panfish just for the heck of it. That was not too productive either. Got like 7 or 8 perch.

I know that they are small, but I like to read reports with pics, so I post them when I have them:)

Nice report I to enjoy seeing pics in reports. At least your getting out. Is tanwax an electric motor only lake.

Nice job Arnie! Way to get after them largies. Cajun, Tanwax is not a restricted lake, so it's best to hit it before all the watersports folks hit the lake. It's not a big lake, so there's not many places to hide from the wake.

You're doing better than several guys I know. Maybe I'll start trying now. Good work.

Thanks everyone, lol, I feel special, haha. Yeah, not too small but not too big. They were a pound even and 1 pound 4 ounces, and, actually, they both gave me all they were worth. The first, the smaller of the two, was in the pads and that was a struggle and a mess. Basically, I had to take the boat to him and reach in and grab a handful of pads to get him out of there. The second surprised me, he just turned his head down and swam and then he got into some pads, as well, but he was, pound for pound, as strong a fish as I have caught yet. A lot of that is the pole, though. My baitcaster reel is on just a 7' Lamiglass Kokanee Special, so it is a hair light and I fear the day that I hook a 5 pounder on it, but for the little ones, it makes them all feel like they are 8 pounders, lol, haha, like I would know, never caught an 8 pounder:)

if you hook a big one, just loosen your drag a little bit and let it take some line to tire itself out! your rod should hold up fine!

lol, not meaning anything by this, but, I fished for Steelhead since 1978, or so. I am pretty accustomed to being overwhelmed by a fish.
