Even though it was raining we decided to head up to Loon anyways mainly because it was warm and not windy. We arrived at the public launch at 6:30pm and there was only 2 other boats out there, water was calm and water temp was 59 degrees in the shallows. Hit the lillies to the left of the launch and nailed a nice 3lber on my 2nd cast. We caught a total of 9 fish in one hour all between 1-3lbs, and all seemed to be hard fighters, lots of fun! Even though it rained off and on there was no wind! Very nice evening!

llv2fish, Man you can't decide where you want to fish at. LOL Just read your report on Newman and now this one from Loon. I have seen some real nice LMB in Loon but it was many years ago. Does the lake still have some larger fish? Happy Fishing.

We wanted to hit the trifecta this weekend, Eloika, Newman and Loon. We missed out on Eloika but was able to hit the other 2 and weather (and the honey do list) was a factor. I've been fishing loon for the past few years for LMB and I've talked to a few folks that have caught 5lbers out of there, I personally haven't seen anything bigger than that but with the forage and availability of small bait fish I'm sure their in there. We're headed up there as soon as I'm done replying to you, we took Tuesday off to make it a nice 4 day weekend, I'll make another post this evening as we are going for both LMB and Kokanee...
