Launched at 8:30am rain was really coming down not to mention it was cold hills to the south of us got there first dusting of snow last night. Acted as a guide today taking little Seth (the the winner of the Go fishing with Uncle Wes essay contest in the youth bracket) and his father Mark we started out using black and green wooley buggers with an occasional hit here and there switched to green and then black little Seth hooked and released 6 cutts between 8 and 10 inches his father Mark kept one 12 inch cutt and released one other 8 incher and lost a couple more. The water temperature never did climb above 56 degrees but mainly held between 54 and 55 degrees. Like I said the weather was miserable with the rain really coming down at times probably one of the coldest days yet this fall. We fished until 4:30pm, on the bright side these were the first fish little Seth has ever caught and he was quite pleased with his day in spite of the wet and cold. Quite a drastic change in fishing conditions from last night.
