Well, it finally slowed down off of Sunnybank a bit. Andy put the Beamis' on big fish on the Bar and numbers right off the tip of Wapato Point in spite of pretty steady rain all day long. As always fish tight to the bottom. Once again speeds around 1.5 mph are the ticket. Those squid rigs with double hooks baited with a piece of northern pikeminnow get the bites as well as U-20 and T-4 flatfish. He also got some kokanee bites. The kokanee to the boat have been few and very small. There was one small chinook on until close to the net. It was a hoot on that kokanee weight gear. Tight lines. They caught a total of 14 lakers. The picture includes a 13 pounder held by Mrs. Beamis.

Anton, is that second picture of some smoked fish? Kokanee on lake Chelan are still small............hmmmm.........have you seen small fish in previous years and did they eventually get larger as the season progressed?

Yes, the second picture is a shot of some pretty smoked fish that Donn did for some customers. I've never seen a kokanee year like this.
