So i decided to go fishing in Coulon Park and had lots of luck!Caught about 21 perch and one 4-5 pound smallie with a Senko! The perch were all caught off a Trout Slayer which is showed in the picture. After a while i didnt catch perch for soome unexpected reason.I then realized that maybe a bass would be around so i took my bass rod with a senko ready wacky rigged tossed it out there and about three casts later i catch this biggie!Weather was really bad then started to clear up!Tight Lines!2

Fellas, you are treading in thin ice. Remember the rules of the site with regards to criticizing folks who post reports, especially when they are 100% within the law. Trust me, Lake Washington will not miss that bass. Keep in mind, at that size they don't have any natural predators. With the number of pigs that have been coming out of the lake, thinning their numbers isn't such a bad thing. By the way, nice fish! I really like the color and markings on her.

Bass are a non native species that have taken over nearly every lake in this state. If some are kept, it will mean less competition from the many bass. This will result in more bass food and allowing some bass to grow even larger. Some people just don't get why the bass trout etc. don't grow to trophy size. They think if all the fish are released everything will keep growing when it does not work that way at all. To make comments to those fishermen who are following the rules and doing it the right way only reflects negatively on yourself imo. Why you think everybody must fish the way you do is beyond me, and gives catch and release a bad name.

If he is brave enough to eat a fish from Lake Washington, he is a brave man.
Eating fish from Washington is not recomennded by the Wa State Dept. of Ecology.

SmallyBigs...I would like to see you do that!

Anyway, Smallmouth bass in my book are not junk fish, bass is my main species to fish for.

I'm done, better things to discuss than 1 bass and guy who claims he would cut my stringer on my boat, lol. Please...You better come prepared if you ever think you would do that to me bro!

I'm not a guy who hides behind a forum saying what I would do, etc...Talk is cheap

TIght lines everyone

thefishinguy101 - if you made it down this far, nice fish and nice report! And just so you know, this is YOUR report and since it is YOUR report, you have the power over comments in it. You should see a "delete" button to the right of each comment....

I just deleted a bunch of comments. Threading on thin ice is well put. The forums are where C&R can be debated, not someone's report thread. This is an established policy of the site. If you'd rather not abide by it then there are other sites you can freely bash people, but not here.

SallyBigs has left the building. The issue isn't having a C&R debate, the issue is using someones report and making that person regret posting the report in the first place. Especially from a person that have never posted a report or forum comment, but feel it's perfectly OK to bash someone for doing a legal activity. We've had this discussion before, it's clearly outlined in the terms of use for this site that people agree to when they sign up. Anyway, sorry to have to deal with this here. thefishinguy101 please don't let this discourage you from posting reports in the future.

Hey, hope you didn't take my "hold on to your shorts" comment as negative??? I just knew what was coming (from personal experience! LOL) I say eat em up if that's your thing! There are enough of us out there catching & releasing to keep the harvesters well fed:) My buddy I am teaching to bass fish is a bass carnivore, I am making him wait until the spawn is over, but after that he is free to keep what he catches, as long as it's per the regs! Again, great job from shore, and definately keep on posting, it all helps!
