Me, Scoot and The Chad headed out once again on friendly Bay Lake. Not a lot of action, a few bites from Rainbows on spinner baits. I wanted to try out my brand new Rapala Shad Rap on the reported big bass of Bay Lake. Very first cast a dumb Rainbow, about 14", nailed it almost immediately. Hey Rainbow, that's a bass lure! Anyways, got the fish in the boat, and like a complete moron, I went to grab the fish right away up by the double treble hooks, fresh and sharp out of the box. Dang fish did the ol' aggreated crappie flop with a disco twist and launched the front treble hook deep into my left pinkie! Pretty fun stuff right there. Scoot jumped into action settling the fish while The Chad tried to the lure.....hey that's a brand new Rapala!!...cut the line, not the lure!! :) The line finally got cut and then I man strengthed the deep hook out of my pinkie. Bloody mess all over from both me and Dr. Troutenstein. Mended the wound and proceeded to have fun fishing on the lake. Good times.
