Went fishing Sunday morning with a friend from Spokane to Long Lake. We had only about an hour of quiet fishing before the ski boats hit the water. The lake is surface is loaded with chopped up vegetation from the high speed boats and any lure with treble hooks just reels in grass and weeds. So with all the noise in the water and all the junk floating in the water we went to single hook baits and lures. At the North end are a lot of weed patches so I tied on a black buzz bait to compete with the ski boats and BANG. I got a huge 6 pounder. the bass was tagged but I didnt have my reading glasses with me to record the number. we caught a few more 2 and 3 pounders the same way. all fish were released unharmed. just goes to show you, you have to use noisy lures in noisy water to get a bite.
