Welp, me and my wife made a last minute decision to hit tanwax this morning so we got the kids off to school and hit the road. Got on the water at about 9:30. Weather was fair... at first. Rowed out towards the middle trolling a fishcreek. No hits on that one today. Found a good spot and anchored up. Tried a few different things to no avail and ended up running a worm tipped with rainbow chartreuse powerbait about 5 - 6 ft under a bobber... Then the fishin' got fun! Hooked into a couple nice catfish (which were released), then started gettin' into the rainbows. Hit after hit. My wife wasn't even fishin' and she was havin' fun! The weather started to sour around 12:30 so we decided to start heading in. Then the big squall came. Got soaked, had fun, left with 3 decent size bows. All in all, despite the weather it was a great day on the water!
