Went to Lake Quinalt Sat. Drove up that morning to meet the in-laws on there camping trip. Started fishing about 2 pm. Caught numerous 6 - 8 inch trout. I was trolling a green wedding ring, then I trolled a green spinner. They were hitting both of them. My Father in law had a red wedding ring, and didn't get a single bite. We trolled for an hour or so, and could not catch anything bigger than the 8 inch trout. We anchored and fished powerbait and did not get any bites. We packed up and headed in. I went back around 5:30 pm and started fishing from the bank with worms on the bottom. I caught 5 or 6 carp. The biggest was about 3lbs. It was fun and a good time. The lake is awesome. There were salmon jumping all over the place. But the lake is protected because it's on an Indian reservation I believe so you cant fish for salmon. Also if you go to the lake you have to go to the little store up the road and by a season pass 35 dollars I believe or a 10 dollar 3 day pass. It's a very nice place to fish though. Also the lake is really deep, only fished about 100 yards off the bank and it was over 130ft deep. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN>>>

Planning on a trip to Lake Quinault early Sep 2010. I would love some information about fishing from the banks on the North Shore. Staying at Cottage Lakes. THANKS!!! yk
