HMMM ! we got 1 jack salmon today on shrimp and bobber at the high side of McNary Dam. We also got 1 sucker, shrimp and bobber. We were on the water at 0745 and landed the salmon at 0815, saw 1 wild steelhead caught next to us on the face of the dam (washington side, shrimp and bobber)... and 1 keeper steelhead in the boat next to us. Also saw 2 steelhead taken trolling on the Washington side near the fish ladder. The Mighty Columbia Wind wasn't too bad until 2 PM then it was 1 to 3 foot waves from the south west. We decided to call it quits when a steelhead jumped next to the boat ( approx. 3 feet behind us ), and got me wet... I think that fish stuck his middle fin up at me but I can't be certain... Simply put, I now have another grudge match going with a trout ! Remember, The Common Rainbow Trout is your mortal enemy...Fish Till Ya Drop ! ! ! Thanks for all of your well wishes for my wife's battle with cancer... She has finally finished her last Radiation treatment!
OCT 21 and she is feeling much better....enough to let me go fishing once and a while. (she kicks me out you know so I'm not getting on her nerves by trying to cook and clean the house with a MAN's touch, hamburgers and hot dogs anyone? ! ! )
